About me

I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist  and an art psychotherapist working in Brighton and Hove.

I hold a Masters degree in Art Psychotherapy from The University of Roehampton. I am accredited by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), a member of the BACP, The British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and I am accredited member of EMDR UK.

I offer short and long-term therapy to adults with a range of issues including PTSD, C-PTSD, depression, anxiety, attachment disturbance, sexual, emotional and physical abuse. I also treat accidents, acts of terrorism and medical traumas.

Qualifications & Experience

I trained in the NHS and have worked for charities across London and the South East. My experience includes Brighton and Hove CAMHS, Westminster MIND and Sussex NHS partnership and FosterCareUK.

Post-qualification I worked for Brighton-based charity for Young Oasis for three years, where I developed the Young Women's Therapy service, serving vulnerable 18-25 year olds affected by familial substance misuse.

I have twelve years’ experience working therapeutically with art therapy and EMDR in London and the Brighton and Hove area. I am a Europe Accredited Practitioner in EMDR and have completed additional training in Attachment-focused EMDR. I am currently working towards becoming an EMDR consultant.  I work in private practice on Church Road in Hove.

Choosing a therapist can be a daunting task, but I aim to make this as straightforward as possible by clearly explaining my approach to EMDR or art psychotherapy, how therapy can improve mental health and what it involves.

I hope that the What is EMDR? and  What is art therapy? sections answer any questions you may have.
